  1. What a sensible lady! If you have to perform, then dressing in something that makes you feel like the cat's pajamas (no, don't borrow them from the cat!) is a must. Authors really do themselves a disservice by not treating literary awards as an opportunity to frock up.

  2. Wonderful advice - thanks for linking! I have been on the hunt for "a good smart black jacket" for a couple of weeks now. My quarry is proving elusive but I will return to the hunt revitalized after reading that advice.
